Two aqueducts used to deliver water to Tenochtitlán.
Each of them had two water conduits; in case one of
them had to be cleaned or repaired the other could do
its work. The waterflow ended in public reservoirs everywhere
in the city. The waterworks of Chapultepec leading
to Tenochtitlán,
now known as Mexico City, were built in 1465.
