The source could be found near Gorze (left in the picture). The red line is the part underground, the green line the part above ground. This was a bridge with a length of 1.1 km with about 110 arches! The highest arch was approx. 32 m high. The aqueduct was 22 km long; the part underground was built in two sections. From Gorze to Ars it was 12,7 km long and from Jouy to Castellum Divisorium it was 8,5 km long.

The tank at Ars, horseshoe shaped, is approx. 9,5 m long and 7 m wide. The walls are 1 m thick. The pipe of Gorze appeared at the round part of the tank. The pipe of Sainte-Fontaine started a little further away. The centre of the tank was constructed at a lower level for sedimentation purposes.
