Ringvaart-aqueduct

At that time building
an aqueduct
was something new. KLM Aerocarto has taken some photographs
of the construction site. The construction was progressed
considerably (photo to the left). In 1960 motorway A4 (Ypenburg-Roelofarendsveen)
was taken into service. The road from Amsterdam to Rotterdam
only needed one aqueduct. It took until 28
January 1961 to complete the last part of this motorway
(see photo on your right).
